Overview

Despite progress over the past two decades, malaria remains a major public health and socio-economic challenge in Africa, accounting for 94% of global cases in 2023. In line with the African Union’s Agenda 2063 goal to eradicate malaria by 2063, CAMA is spearheading collaborative efforts to strengthen public-private partnerships (PPPs) for malaria elimination. Under the theme “Deepening Public-Private Partnerships for Malaria Elimination: Mobilizing Corporate Resources and Private Wealth for Sustainable Malaria Solutions,” this workshop will bring together government officials, private sector leaders, NGOs, and philanthropists to explore ways to mobilize corporate resources and develop sustainable malaria solutions.

Enhanced understanding of the role of the private sector in malaria elimination and the potential for impactful partnerships.

Development of actionable strategies for mobilizing corporate resources and private wealth to support sustainable malaria solutions.

Establishment of a network of stakeholders committed to deepening public private partnerships for malaria elimination.

Generation of commitments from corporate leaders and stakeholders to invest in malaria elimination initiatives and collaborate on innovative solutions.
