In 2020, she co-founded the Marcelle Ruth Cancer Centre & Specialist Hospital, a pioneering one-stop facility providing comprehensive screening, diagnosis, and treatment for cancers and other specialist medical conditions. At MRCC, she leads a multidisciplinary team offering the highest standards of care, equipped with cutting-edge technology including West Africa’s first TrueBeam Linear Accelerator for radiotherapy. Passionate about empowering women, Dr. Elebute-Odunsi founded the Women in Healthcare Network (WIHCN), a platform that mentors and supports women across healthcare organisations in both the public and private sectors in Nigeria and the diaspora. To date, WIHCN has over 300 paid members, with chapters in UK and Abuja. Dr. Elebute-Odunsi holds a Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) from the University of London, is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) and the Royal College of Pathologists (UK). She is an active member of the British Society for Haematology, the American Society of Haematology, the African Organisation for Research and Training in Cancer (AORTIC), the British Blood Transfusion Service, the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), and the Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria (MWAN).
