Roberto Taboada – Anglo West Africa General Manager and Network Lead. I am passionate about improving people's health, which is why I have dedicated my 30+ year career to various sectors in the healthcare solutions industry. These include pharmaceuticals, dermatology, vaccines and in the last 10 years, in-vitro diagnostics with Roche Diagnostics. I have worked in multiple international markets, including Latin America, the United States, Asia, and now Africa. Now based in West Africa, I support Roche Diagnostics’ Africa strategy to increase access to Diagnostics tenfold within the next decade. I am driven by the urgent need to strengthen laboratory systems so that more Africans can live long, happy lives. I believe in the power of meaningful public-private partnerships to activate the change we need to see. I am confident that Universal Health Coverage will become more than an African dream by identifying innovative new funding models and pioneering diverse avenues to bring essential diagnostics to more patients. I am inspired by the possibility of creating a meaningful impact in the lives of people who have faced lifelong access barriers to quality diagnostics and care. Collectively, we can overcome Africa’s healthcare challenges and usher in a new era.
