East Africa’s most influential healthcare event, WHX Nairobi 2025, opens on October 22 at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre under the patronage of Kenya’s Ministry of Health, marking the start of a transformative three-day gathering dedicated to advancing patient care and health innovation across the region.

Now in its seventh year, the co-located WHX Nairobi and WHX Labs Nairobi unite global leaders, policymakers, healthcare professionals, and innovators to shape the future of healthcare in East Africa through collaboration, investment, and shared expertise. Supported by the Ministry of Health Kenya, Africa CDC, Kenya Healthcare Federation, and the Kenya Medical Association, the event reinforces Kenya’s growing role as a regional medical hub and a champion for Universal Health Coverage.

Part of the global World Health Expo (WHX) portfolio, which spans Miami, Dubai, Cape Town, Lagos, Kuala Lumpur, and beyond, WHX Nairobi brings together over 8,000 visitors, 300+ exhibitors, and 65+ international speakers from more than 20 countries.

This year’s edition is bigger and bolder than ever, with new zones and initiatives designed to spark innovation and inclusion. Global brands such as Beckman Coulter, Snibe Diagnostic, Randox, and Radiometer are also joining regional innovators to unveil cutting-edge solutions aimed at improving accessibility, efficiency, and quality of care. As one attendee, Valerie Rading, Business Strategist and Project Consultant at VR Consulting, described it, “My experience at the conference was truly exceptional. The sessions on digital health and laboratory innovation offered invaluable insights into the next decade of medical practice.”

Over three days, participants will explore key themes across healthcare policy, digital transformation, and primary healthcare, earning up to 15 CPD points through specialised conferences and expert-led sessions. WHX Labs Nairobi, formerly Medlab East Africa, offers laboratory professionals a dedicated platform for learning and collaboration across diagnostics, microbiology, and genomics, showcasing the latest innovations reshaping medical practice.

This year also introduces two pioneering initiatives: Women 50/50, a sustainability-driven programme led by Philana Mugyenyi, designed to promote gender balance in healthcare leadership through training and mentorship; and Leaders in Healthcare, WHX Nairobi’s first ministerial roundtable supported by President William Ruto and Kenya’s Ministry of Health, convening policymakers, industry leaders, and global stakeholders to accelerate strategic healthcare transformation and investment.

Beyond healthcare advancements, WHX Nairobi is also setting new standards for sustainable event practices. The organisers have adopted a circular approach to operations with digital badges replacing paper tickets, recycled and repurposed signage, and an advanced recycling programme ensuring materials are reused responsibly. The Sustainable Stand Awards celebrate exhibitors embracing eco-friendly design, aligning with WHX’s broader global commitment to sustainability across its 15 events, many of which now run on 100% renewable energy.

As the doors open today, professionals, innovators, and decision-makers from around the world are invited to join this pivotal moment in healthcare transformation. To be part of the change and witness the future of East African healthcare unfold, register now at worldhealthexpo.com.
